The last year has brought forth so many changes for all of us. From being thrown into peril due to an unforeseen trauma, in which we currently battle to personal challenges that each individual has had to adapt to. Some of the most difficult challenges are those that are within our personal realm. Challenges of the heart can be quite distracting and passive-aggressive even. Moreso, challenges within your energy and spirit can cause even more chaos or confusion. There are ways to get beyond these challenges and distractions, however, it all begins with you … within you. Let’s explore.

Don’t use recovery as an excuse.

I’m sure this caught many eyes and curious minds, so allow me to explain. Many of us have gone through heartbreaks and some of us have even been the cause of the heartbreaks that others have gone through. In either case, there is a moment of recovery that must take place. The keyword in the last sentence is a moment. That can be weeks, months, or for some, years. There is no rule of time as to how long recovery or healing may take. That time may not be as long for some as it is for others. It is very important to be conscious and receptive to opportunities and individuals who may be a gift or blessing who may show up during this time of healing and recovery. Allow yourself the fair chance to receive something or someone that may come into your realm during a time in which you feel you may not be ready. Don’t use your healing or recovery time to grab something good that may come in your moment of transition. Remember, even the transition from life to death requires acceptance, whether we feel ready or not.

The doorways to existence.

The mind and the heart are the two doorways to our existence. The reality is that we are highly vibrational beings, however, we tend to lead and make decisions primarily from our minds or our hearts. Because of this way of navigating through life, decisions in which we make can vary from experience to experience. Sometimes even causing changes from minute to minute. This obstruction of clarity can be changed with a simple shift of thought, a shift of focus. It is important that we align and understand the workings of our hearts and mind so that we are able to utilize them effectively.

The human mind is very important to our day to day existence. The mind's functionality which allows it to organize, focus and problem solve, makes it the perfect helpful tool for those needs. However, the mind is also limited because it records all past experiences as facts. For this simple reason, the mind's perspective is very limited. The mind is not able to exist in the present moment as it is. As a matter of a fact, the mind only exists in the present moment based on knowledge of the past. This, in turn, feeds the mind fear, anxiety, and negativity, pushing an individual further away from potential success or happiness. These three components only live within the mind.

So much is missed out on or bad decisions are made because we listen to our mind. The falsification of thought is that we are our mind when in reality we are not. We are actually a greater consciousness and existence of our mind. Developing an awareness of the mind is very important. Meditation, breathing exercises, taking a walk, writing and many more activities can help to find an understanding of your mind. Listening to what the mind is saying is important. More important, is the ability for you to be able to question what the mind is telling you and ask if it is what you would like or what truly need.

Another gateway of the door to existence is the heart. The heart is the doorway to Presence, Consciousness and Being the Doorway to a higher realm other than ourselves. It is potentially the doorway to energy healing, epiphany and so much more. The importance of opening your heart to love and gratitude is key in us feeling joy and inspiration. We can practice, and usually do, expansive heart energy throughout our day by simply thinking of someone that we love or an event that has had a positive impact. This will help to bring more clarity in decision-making and understanding of reasons for your decisions.

In closing, doing the work to assure that both your heart and mind are aligned is something that should be a daily practice. It is important that we remain conscious of the disconnection, yet unification of both of these doorways.
